It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joanne Emilia Machata: 11/26/1970-01/30/2026
Joanne was strong-willed and unapologetically herself, with a stubborn streak that reflected her inner strength. Beneath that was a deeply caring and loving heart. She was creative, funny, and joyfully silly, believing that laughter and lightness were essential in a world that can often feel heavy.
She faced life’s joys and hardships with remarkable emotional and physical strength, carrying love even through profound loss. She had a deep compassion for animals, especially cats. To Joanne, they were never “just pets.” They were family. She was a devoted cat mom, always opening her heart and home to animals in need of love and care.
Above all, Joanne was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her granddaughter Isabelle; her daughter Tyra (Aman); her mother Betty; and her stepfather Doug. She is reunited in peace with her beloved son Dallan.
